Washington Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains how Bridgetown Clinical, LLC (“we,” “us”), the practice of Allyson Clemmons, LICSW, collects, uses, and shares consumer health data through allysonclemmonslicsw.com. We publish this policy to meet the Washington My Health My Data Act, RCW 19.373, and we apply this policy to every visitor to allysonclemmonslicsw.com, wherever the visitor lives.
Under the Washington My Health My Data Act, “consumer health data” includes information that shows a person is seeking mental health care, such as a record that a specific browser or device visited a page about partner betrayal trauma therapy.
This policy covers information collected through allysonclemmonslicsw.com before you become a client. Once you become a client, your clinical records (intake forms, session notes, and billing records) are governed by Washington’s Uniform Health Care Information Act, RCW 70.02, and by the privacy notice you receive at intake, and this policy doesn’t apply to those clinical records.
What consumer health data we collect and why
We collect three categories of consumer health data through allysonclemmonslicsw.com, and we use each category only for the purpose listed.
Website visit data. This category includes the pages you view, the date and time of each visit, your IP address, your browser and device type, your approximate location (city or region), and the website that referred you. We use website visit data to keep the site working and secure, and, only if you opt in, to see which pages visitors read in Squarespace Analytics.
Booking information. This category includes your name, email address, phone number, state of residence, and the appointment time you choose in Carepatron. We use booking information to schedule your intensive, confirm that you live in a state where Allyson is licensed, and contact you about your appointment.
Messages you send us. This category includes the content of emails you send, which may include details about your relationship or your reasons for seeking therapy. We use your messages to reply to you and decide whether our services fit your needs.
We don’t collect precise location data, biometric data, or genetic data, and we don’t use geofencing.
Where the data comes from
We collect consumer health data from two sources: directly from you, when you book an appointment or send us an email; and automatically from your browser or device, through Squarespace, which hosts allysonclemmonslicsw.com.
What we share and with whom
We share consumer health data only with the categories of companies listed below, and only for the purpose listed. We have no affiliates, meaning no related companies under common ownership receive your data.
Squarespace (website hosting provider). We share website visit data with Squarespace on every visit, because the site can’t load without Squarespace. Squarespace uses website visit data to host and secure allysonclemmonslicsw.com and, only if you opt in, to show us which pages visitors read through Squarespace Analytics.
Carepatron (scheduling and records provider). We share booking information with Carepatron when you book, so Carepatron can schedule and manage your appointment.
Proton Mail (email provider). We share messages you send us with Proton Mail when you email us, so we can receive and reply to your emails.
We don’t sell consumer health data to anyone, and we don’t share consumer health data with data brokers, other therapists, or your partner.
Your consent and how to withdraw consent
We collect booking information and messages only because you ask us to schedule an appointment or reply to you, and the Washington My Health My Data Act allows collection that is necessary to provide a service you request.
We ask for your consent before collecting analytics data. The cookie banner on allysonclemmonslicsw.com asks whether you accept analytics cookies, and Squarespace Analytics doesn’t record your visit until you click “Accept.” Declining doesn’t affect your ability to use the site or book an appointment. We don’t use Google Analytics, advertising cookies, or advertising tracking tools.
You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking “Cookie Preferences” in the footer of allysonclemmonslicsw.com and turning off analytics cookies. You can also email allyson@allysonclemmonslicsw.com to withdraw consent, and we’ll stop future collection and sharing of your data.
Your rights and how to use them
You have three rights under the Washington My Health My Data Act, and you can use each right by emailing allyson@allysonclemmonslicsw.com with the subject line “Consumer Health Data Request.”
The right to know and access. You can ask whether we collect, share, or sell your consumer health data, get a copy of that data, and get a list of every company we’ve shared the data with, along with an email address or web link for contacting each company.
The right to withdraw consent. You can withdraw consent to our collection and sharing of your consumer health data, as described in the section above.
The right to delete. You can ask us to delete your consumer health data. We’ll delete the data from our records and backup systems, and we’ll notify every company we shared the data with so the company deletes the data too. Deletion from backup systems can take up to six months. If you have become a client, we can’t delete clinical records that Washington and federal law require us to keep, and we’ll tell you which records those are.
You don’t need to create an account to make a request. To protect your privacy, we’ll confirm your identity before acting on a request, usually by replying to the email address connected to your booking or message, and we may ask for more information if we can’t confirm your identity.
We’ll respond within 45 days of receiving your request. If we need more time, we’ll tell you why within those 45 days, and we’ll respond within 45 additional days. Requests are free up to twice a year.
Appealing a decision. If we decline your request, you can appeal by emailing allyson@allysonclemmonslicsw.com with the subject line “Consumer Health Data Appeal” and a short explanation. We’ll send you a written decision within 45 days of receiving your appeal. If we deny your appeal, you can file a complaint with the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov.
We won’t treat you differently, charge you a different fee, or refuse services because you used any of these rights.
Security, sale, changes, and contact
How we protect your data. Only Allyson Clemmons and the companies listed in the sharing table can access your consumer health data, and each company may use the data only for the purpose listed. Carepatron has signed a business associate agreement with us, which is a contract that requires Carepatron to protect health information under federal HIPAA rules.
Sale of data. We don’t sell consumer health data, and we would never sell consumer health data without your signed, separate written authorization as the Washington My Health My Data Act requires.
Changes to this policy. If we want to collect a new category of consumer health data or use your data for a new purpose, we’ll update this policy and ask for your consent before the new collection or use begins. The effective date at the top of this page shows when this policy last changed.
